We are the support operation through which the University - primarily its Faculty of Health Sciences - conducts research, manages donor-funded activities, pursues entrepreneurial innovation in health and supports clinical trials.

Divisional Information

The Wits Health Consortium (WHC) operates a Shared Services Centre (SSC) to support various divisions that operate within WHC. Members from the University of the Witwatersrand’s Faculty of Health Sciences create these divisions by forming ‘syndicates’ or research groups.
